Oh Snow!

They closed a road by our house so the neighborhood could go sledding. Here's Jack with his nanny Chloe.

Sunday the whole neighborhood was out. Jack had the most fun because the other kids were there too.

We spent Friday night in Holly with Jeremy's college buddy Jake and his girlfriend Shana. The place was a winter wonderland. Fortunately our pipes were not frozen when we got there. They had about 5 inches of snow and were looking at another foot after we left.

On the way down to Holly there was a backup on I-5, and this is why. We were totally part of the rubbernecking problem, this one was worth slowing down to stare at.

Decorating the Tree

This year Jack was able to help decorate the tree. In fact, he got really good at undecorating it too. Our tree is pretty sparse this year, mostly because Jack likes to take the balls off and take them apart, and it fell over once because it's too heavy for our stand. So even though we love the smell and lights of a tree, we will be happy to see it go after Christmas!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was at the Werkaus this year, we had Jenn, Devon, and Cara over, and my mom came up from Newport. The kids made a gingerbread house, and we had lots of yummies. Jack loves to see his cousins and learn all the big kid stuff.

Halloween

We went to the McCray's for trick-or-treating this year. Jack was initiated into the process of knocking on doors to get candy. He was all done by about the 3rd house, mostly because candy isn't much of an incentive right now because he doesn't eat it (yay for us!) Now, if they handed out chicken nuggets on Halloween, Jack would still be out there knocking on doors.

This is the Lighthouse carnival where the kids had all kinds of games to play to win candy. Jack liked the games where he could throw things.

I walked into the kitchen this morning to Jack singing along with the fridge phonics. I had to record this one!

Remlinger Farms Pumpkin Patch time!

This year we wanted to go to a pumpkin patch since Jack is old enough to pick out his own pumpkins. We went to Remlinger Farms, where they had rides for the kids and a pumpkin patch.

Jack's 2nd birthday
